Athens, Attica, Greece EPAM Systems Full time €45,000 - €75,000 per year

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of business-critical store platforms (POS systems, inventory, pricing and integrations with enterprise systems) within a high-load retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high availability and performance of store-level platforms
  • Automate and improve operational processes (CI/CD, deployment, monitoring)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, engineering, operations) to enhance platform stability
  • Drive optimisation, technical improvements and long-term reliability initiatives

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with monitoring tools
  • Strong SQL skills (query writing, joins, performance tuning, data validation, troubleshooting)
  • Solid understanding of system integration methods (REST/SOAP APIs, message queues, flat-file transfer, ETL pipelines, event-driven architectures)
  • Experience supporting distributed systems or platforms at scale
  • Proficient in English language
