We operate modern light/medium jets and partner closely with leading OEMs and approved maintenance organizations across Europe. We foster a high-trust, safety-first culture and are committed to excellence in service.
The Role
We are seeking a
Deputy CAMO Manager & Maintenance Planner
to support and deputize for the CAMO Manager in all continuing airworthiness functions for our fleet. You will ensure full EASA compliance, take ownership of maintenance planning, maintain impeccable records, and coordinate effectively with Part-145 maintenance organizations—keeping each aircraft available, airworthy, and mission-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Continuing Airworthiness Management
- Manage daily CAMO activities in accordance with EASA Part-CAMO and Part-M requirements, and deputize for the CAMO Manager during any absence.
- Maintain and control the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), ensuring all procedures reflect current regulations and company practices.
- Continuously update and control the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), incorporating any new Maintenance Program Document (MPD) tasks, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), or configuration changes as needed.
- Plan, forecast, and schedule all base and line maintenance events in coordination with Flight Operations and Part-145 Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs). Ensure maintenance downtime is optimally arranged and track all work packages through to closure with appropriate certification.
- Manage the use of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL), control deferred defects and technical logs, and ensure timely rectification or approved extensions in line with company policy and regulations.
Airworthiness Review & Records
- Prepare aircraft for Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) issue or extension (where authorized), coordinating with the aviation authority or an approved Airworthiness Review Staff (ARS) as required.
- Ensure all aircraft and component records are complete, up-to-date, and audit-ready at all times – including technical logbooks (TLBs), Certificates of Release to Service (CRS), EASA Form 1s, life-limited parts (LLP) status, and full back-to-birth traceability of components.
- Lead the reliability monitoring program for the fleet. Analyze performance and reliability data, and produce fleet health and reliability dashboards, implementing corrective actions or improvements where necessary.
Safety & Compliance
- Embed CAMO processes into the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and compliance monitoring program. Lead the resolution and closure of any findings from audits (whether by authorities, internal auditors, or third parties).
- Continuously monitor changes in applicable regulations (EASA, local HCAA rules) and ensure timely implementation of required updates in procedures or manuals (including Part-CAMO, Part-M, Part-145, Part-21, and Part-IS requirements).
- Manage and investigate any airworthiness-related occurrences or incidents. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive or corrective actions in partnership with Flight Operations and our Part-145 maintenance organizations.
Technical Control & Engineering
- Evaluate the impact of new Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) on the fleet. Develop engineering orders or embodiment plans for compliance, and liaise with Design and Production Organization Approval (DOA/POA) holders as well as aircraft OEMs to resolve technical issues or obtain necessary approvals.
- Oversee any aircraft modifications, repairs, and STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) implementations. Ensure the use of proper technical data (AMM, SRM, IPC, CMM manuals) and maintain configuration control so that each aircraft's actual configuration matches its approved documentation.
- Support special projects such as aircraft import/export processes, bridging inspections for new acquisitions, airworthiness conformity checks, and entry-into-service preparations for added aircraft. Coordinate these projects to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth integration of aircraft into the fleet.
Vendor, Cost & Data Management
- Coordinate closely with external maintenance providers (MROs), parts suppliers, and logistics services to facilitate maintenance events. Monitor maintenance turnaround times (TAT) and the quality of work performed by vendors to ensure they meet our standards and schedules.
- Track maintenance budgets and aircraft maintenance reserves. Scrutinize and validate maintenance quotes and invoices, driving cost-effective decisions and negotiations without ever compromising on safety or quality.
- Serve as the primary administrator of the maintenance tracking system (e.g., CAMP, Traxxall, or AMOS). Ensure all maintenance data is accurately logged, and generate monthly maintenance KPI reports for management review, highlighting aircraft status, upcoming tasks, and performance metrics.
Authority (As Delegated)
- As delegated by the CAMO Manager, approve revisions to the Aircraft Maintenance Program and maintenance work packages within authorized limits.
- Sign and release CAMO documents, technical instructions, and supplier/service provider approvals in accordance with the CAME and your delegated authority.
- Provide recommendations on ARC issuance/extension and make airworthiness decisions (within your scope) to the CAMO Manager/NPCA, helping to ensure that every aircraft remains in a condition for safe operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in aviation maintenance/airworthiness.
- 5+ years in a CAMO or Continuing Airworthiness environment (business aviation or regional jets preferred), including direct involvement in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Strong working knowledge of EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M, Part-145, Part-21 regulations, as well as familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Proven experience with managing Aircraft Maintenance Programs (AMP) and Airworthiness Directives/Service Bulletins compliance, hands-on maintenance planning, and robust records management.
- Hands-on proficiency with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CAMP, Traxxall, AMOS) and advanced Excel/reporting skills for data analysis.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Greek language skills are a plus. Strong technical writing ability and confident communication during audits and regulatory discussions.
Nice to Have
- Previous authorization as Airworthiness Review Staff (ARS) or experience in performing ARC reviews/airworthiness inspections.
- An EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license (any category) or prior certifying staff experience in maintenance is an advantage.
- Knowledge of EASA Part-IS (Information Security) requirements, and experience with electronic flight bag systems or ops software (e.g., EFB tools, FL3XX platform).
- Familiarity working with aircraft types such as Bombardier Learjet/Challenger/Global, Cessna Citation series, Embraer jets
Key Competencies
- An ownership mindset with strong, structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make risk-based decisions using sound engineering judgment.
- Effective vendor management and cost-control capabilities while upholding the highest safety standards.
- Clear and concise communication style, especially under time pressure or AOG situations.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary package.
- Opportunities for professional development and recurrent training to keep your skills and knowledge up-to-date.
- Relocation assistance to Crete, if applicable, to help you settle in.
- A high-trust, safety-first organizational culture with room to grow and take on more responsibilities over time.
