You will play a crucial role in overseeing the payroll function, including the collection of timekeeping information, processing of paychecks, and proper reporting of payroll taxes. Additionally, you will be involved in the maintenance of employee records, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations. As a Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with HR to assist in onboarding new employees and addressing payroll inquiries. The position requires strong analytical skills and a high level of confidentiality. Your ability to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies will be key to maintaining operational efficiency within our organization. Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Manage and report on payroll-related taxes, including filing and payments.
  • Assist with the resolution of payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
  • Work closely with the HR department on payroll-related functions and benefits administration.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve payroll issues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
