Technical Coordinator

We are seeking a Naval Architect or Mechanical Engineer to join our Technical Department as a Technical Coordinator.

The role supports the day-to-day technical management of our fleet, ensuring vessel reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Technical Superintendent, the Technical Coordinator plays a key part in maintaining technical records, coordinating repairs, and supporting the department's continuous improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate and follow up on vessel repairs, maintenance activities, and Class periodical surveys under Technical Superintendent guidance
• Monitor vessel certificates, Classification matters, and compliance deadlines to ensure timely renewals
• Maintain and update the company ERP system and vessel records with all relevant certificates, data, and reports
• Handle technical purchase orders, service agreements, and invoices related to technical operations
• Oversee and track annual service contracts and support negotiations with vendors and service providers
• Record and handle warranty claims with shipyards and ensure proper documentation and follow-up
• Assist in technical reporting and support the implementation of departmental improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate would possess:

• University degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience in a technical coordination or ship management role will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems is desirable
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
