Position Overview

As part of its ongoing digital initiatives, Egon is seeking an experienced
Senior SAP ABAP Consultant
with 5–7 years of hands-on experience. The successful candidate will work closely with functional teams to design, develop, and optimize custom SAP solutions, with a strong focus on S/4HANA best practices. This role supports enterprise business processes and contributes to the stability and evolution of SAP landscapes across global operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Functional Consultants to gather and analyze technical requirements based on functional specifications.
• Design and develop custom SAP objects, enhancements, reports, interfaces, and end-to-end business processes.
• Handle Change Requests related to existing operational objects and system enhancements.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, development documentation, and test scripts.
• Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDPs, and data models aligned with S/4HANA standards.
• Build reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV) and develop custom forms using Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
• Implement enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, RFCs, and BAPIs.
• Manage interfaces and IDocs, including processing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support SAP Notes implementation, system upgrades, and SPAU/SPDD adjustments.
• Explore and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and OData service–based solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional and global teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP, including Object-Oriented ABAP and Module Pool programming.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA development concepts, CDS Views, AMDPs, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in report development (Classical, Interactive, ALV).
• Experience with Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
• Solid knowledge of interfaces, IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancement Framework, and User Exits.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Practical experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services (design, development, and troubleshooting).
• Exposure to full-cycle SAP implementations and rollout projects.
• Experience with SAP Notes, upgrade activities, and SPAU/SPDD adjustments.
• Basic understanding of core business processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and AR/AP.
• SAP ABAP certification is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
