The core mission of the Senior QA Automation Engineer:
You will advocate for high standards for the tools that developers and designers use at Hack The Box and be the voice of quality for the team. As the quality owner for the team, you'll set testing requirements with the product owners and engineers, holding them accountable to their commitments.
Your work will focus on the Enterprise Platform (Hack The Box for Business), which makes available the HTB services to Business customers. The platform is where the majority of HTB solutions are organized to fit customer needs on advanced analytics, reporting, user access, lab management, and much, much more. In the Enterprise Platform, businesses from Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and universities enter a continuous learning and upskilling journey to develop their cybersecurity skills and techniques.
Location & Work Mode:
When hiring in Greece, we're open to candidates from all locations. Those based within 55 km of our Athens office will follow a hybrid work model. For candidates located beyond that radius, a fully remote arrangement is available.
The fellowship you'll be joining:
You'll join a team of ten individuals, six Manual QA Analysts, three Automation Testers, and the Head of QA, who work across 4 different product streams of our portfolio. The Automation QA will work closely with our Software Engineer in Test, UI/UX designers, Product Managers, and the development team.

Java, JUnit, Playwright with Java, Jenkins, Postman, Cucumber (BDD), GIT, Testrail, Jira

- Execute & maintain end-to-end automation testing scenarios
- Automate manual testing scenarios for products and features
- Process product reviews and inform the development team of defects and errors
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative testing reports to the team
- Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress
- Retest to ensure that identified errors have been corrected
- Ensure that the final features of the product create consistent experience
- Spot areas for improvement to enhance the products' experience
Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Senior QA Automation Engineer at Hack The Box:
- Automation Skills: Proficient in automating using OOP such as Java or C#.
- Experience working with design patterns (S.O.L.I.D. Principles)
- Previous experience in Screenplay pattern
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
- Mastery with CI/CD platforms and Unix will be an advantage
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues and implement effective tools and solutions
- Collaborative Mindset: Adept in mystic collaboration and communication, possessing the power to harmonise communication across realms
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS & JS will be highly appreciated
- Excellent command of the English language (written & verbal)
