NMC / NOC Supervisor
to join our team in Athens.

The NMC (Network Management Center) / NOC (Network Operations Center) Supervisor is responsible for th
e day-to-day management and supervision of the NMC / NOC te
am. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous and optimal performance of Nova's network infrastructure. The supervisor will oversee network surveillance, incident management, and escalation procedures, providing leadership and technical guidance to the team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for network availability and service delivery.

What will you do:

  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to a 24/7 NMC / NOC team.
  • Manage shift schedules and daily workloads for team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, assist in hiring new personnel, and develop training plans to ensure a highly skilled and effective team.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, ensuring a focus on solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the 24/7 monitoring and surveillance of the entire network infrastructure (Mobile, Fixed, IP, Access, etc)
  • Ensure timely detection, logging, and documentation of all network incidents in the ticketing and management systems
  • Lead incident response, including troubleshooting and coordinating with other departments or external contractors for fault resolution.
  • Manage and communicate incidents impacting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues as per established procedures.
  • Ensure all approved policies, standards, and procedures for the NMC / NOC are followed.
  • Develop and improve communication and escalation plans to enhance efficiency in incident management.
  • Generate and present operational shift reports and updates to senior management, providing insight into network performance and key activities.
  • Contribute to and provide technical quality assurance for outage post-mortem analyses.
  • Act as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights on network capacity, performance, and future improvements
  • Assist in the evaluation of new products, systems, and equipment for the NMC /NOC.

It would be great if you have:

  • Higher Diploma or degree in Electrical/Telecommunications/Computer Systems Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar telecommunications environment.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
  • Experience with ticketing systems for incident and problem management (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Fundamental knowledge of routing and switching, network architecture concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls), and IP Networks
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and automation scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, ITIL) are highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in critical situations.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work shift hours (including day and night shifts) in a 24/7 environment.
