Job Description
Technical Writer
Location:
Athens, GRC
Our mission is to unlock human potential. We welcome you for who you are, the background you bring, and we embrace individuals who get excited about learning. Bring your experiences, your perspectives, and your passion; it's in our differences that we empower the way the world learns.
About The Role
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Documentation Team in Athens. You will create and maintain release notes, user guides, system configuration, setup, and deployment manuals, ensuring that information about our products is clear, accurate, and useful to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role is evolving and expanding as part of an ongoing initiative to expand the impact of Technical Writers as product enablers and user advocates. While your foundation will remain in producing high-quality documentation, you will also have the opportunity to be involved throughout the product lifecycle—contributing to technical specs, UI copy, onboarding flows, and other product-facing deliverables.
As part of your day-to-day work, you will participate in Product Squads and collaborate with Product Managers, QA, UX Designers, and Software Engineers to shape documentation and influence product design. You may also attend Go-to-Market meetings with Product Marketing to support new product rollouts and client adoption. Based in Greece, you will collaborate closely with international colleagues across Product, Engineering, and Marketing, while enhancing your technical writing skills and working with our unique, multi-featured software.
How You Will Make An Impact
Create high-quality product documentation
- Write clear, concise documentation for new features and product areas for internal and external audiences.
- Edit, test, and improve existing documentation for accuracy and usability.
- Apply minimalist writing standards and topic naming conventions.
- Provide XML code examples and author content in XML/DITA.
- Produce online, context-sensitive help.
Deliver supporting content for adoption
- Create release notes, in-product help, and multimedia content (e.g. screencasts, video snippets).
- Contribute to onboarding guides, knowledge base content, and other customer-facing enablement materials.
- Support marketing with content such as blog posts and whitepapers.
- Conduct training presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain internal documentation for Partner Success Managers, Technical Account Managers, and Solution Architects.
Collaborate and influence product development
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and QA to ensure documentation reflects product functionality and user needs.
- Participate early in the product lifecycle—drafting specs, reviewing UI copy, and flagging usability/documentation gaps.
- Support cross-functional teams with content that accelerates product adoption and improves delivery timelines.
- Maintain version-controlled documentation in GitHub.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in technical writing, software documentation, or programming (experience with wikis and bug databases is a plus).
- Degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, Technical Communication, or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and logically.
- Familiarity with DITA or other markup language, reuse strategies, and minimalist writing.
- Strong technical aptitude; able to quickly learn and understand new technologies.
Desired Skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with geographically distributed colleagues.
- Ability to read Java or a similar programming language.
- CSS/XSLT experience is a plus.
- Comfortable with GitHub and version control.
- Experience creating marketing documentation such as blog posts.
- Bonus: UI/UX writing experience, contribution to product specs, or cross-functional project work.
Why join us?
- Be part of a talented Greece-based team with international collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Develop future-ready skills (UI writing, product thinking, agile collaboration).
- Gain career visibility by shaping how products are understood and adopted.
- Contribute to shaping the future of the Technical Writer role within our organization.
