Sr. DevOps and Application Support Engineer - SrSRE

[Position code: SRE ]

Superbo is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Sr DevOps and Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. This role is central to building, maintaining, and securing our robust cloud infrastructure while ensuring the highest levels of production system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will be a bridge between development and operations, leveraging deep technical expertise in automation, containerization, and cloud platforms to streamline our CI/CD pipelines and provide expert-level production support for our cutting-edge AI solutions.

This is primarily a work-from-home (WFH) position with occasional requirements to be available for critical production incidents.

What you will do:

· Design, implement, and manage a secure, scalable, and highly available containerized infrastructure using Kubernetes or docker swarm on a major cloud provider (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also applicable) or on-premise. Focus on optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.

· Develop, maintain, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD automation pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery, from code commit to production deployment, including automated testing and deployment strategies.

· Provide expert-level production support, including being on-call for troubleshooting, resolving, and performing root cause analysis for complex platform and application incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.

· Automate operational processes using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to improve efficiency, reduce manual toil, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

· Implement and manage cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ARM/CloudFormation, ensuring version control and consistent deployments.

· Champion and enforce best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Netdata or cloud-native alternatives like Azure Monitor/Log Analytics) to ensure system observability and proactive issue detection.

· Collaborate closely with development teams to foster a strong DevOps culture, ensuring operational requirements (security, performance, reliability, and cost optimization) are embedded throughout the entire software development lifecycle, especially for AI/ML workloads.

· Contribute to the design and execution of disaster recovery strategies and ensure system resilience, including backup and restore procedures for critical data and configurations.

· Implement and manage security best practices at the infrastructure and application level, focusing on hardening, vulnerability management, and compliance standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, OWASP Top 10).

What you must have:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

· Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role, with a significant portion in a senior capacity, including direct responsibility for production environments.

· Deep, hands-on expertise with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in a production setting, including advanced deployment strategies and cluster management.

· Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider; preference for Microsoft Azure, but relevant experience with AWS or GCP is also valuable.

· Demonstrable proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI.

· Strong scripting and automation skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

· Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and extensive experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

· A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership, a commitment to production system stability, and a drive for continuous improvement.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fully remote, fast-paced team environment.
