What will you be doing?

The successful candidate shall be highly motivated with a passion for the analytics industry. The candidate must be results-driven, able to work independently, as well as actively participate with a collaborative team. As Data Analyst your role will include to take responsibilities in challenging engagements and generate high quality results and useful/ actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

• Work on demanding analytics projects for the US retail sector with fixed timelines and evolving priorities.
• Enforce best practices and quality standards throughout the analytics delivery process.
• Act proactively in identifying and flagging potential issues or risks to project stakeholders.
• Participate in testing, executing, and validating new analytical features and methodological improvements.
• Work with large datasets stored in Hadoop clusters and distributed environments.
• Use SQL, Python and/or R to extract, transform, analyze, and visualize data.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships within a multicultural team environment.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative field.
• MSc in any Quantitative subject will be considered an asset.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in Data Science, Analytics, or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python or R.
• Solid mathematical and statistical foundation.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
