Your Role: 

For our Finance team we are on the lookout for a Credit Control Associate that not only possesses excellent communication skills but also very handy with numbers. The ideal candidate for this position needs to be able to work as part of a dynamic team, in an environment where work assignments change frequently. He/She will be responsible for reviewing customers' accounts, determining the best way to approach each client, and then executing payment plans in order to be in line with the company's financial goals.

What you will need to:

  • Process inbound mails/calls concerning invoicing/collections
  • Initiate outbound calls/Mails/Messages on accounts receivable
  • Act as the point of contact with clients with regards to collection payments, invoicing procedures, and invoicing matters
  • Verify credit transactions and ensure the timely collection of payments by communicating with customers daily, negotiating terms and conditions when necessary
  • Resolve potential collection issues by examining accounting records, collection plan, and deposit records 
  • Prepare, verify, classify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Control customer payments, credit history and plan improved or new collection strategies

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable/Credit control team or similar role
  • Strong organization and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive in anticipating problems and potential solutions well in advance.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • Team player, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, BA or similar.
  • Ability to work on and off ERP software/automated solutions
  • Fluency in Greek & English, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Ability to accurately process numerical data
  • Experience with customer service and client communication
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
