Marine / Vetting Superintendent

Seanergy Maritime and United Maritime is a leading shipping group, listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange and headquartered in Glyfada, Greece. The Group is seeking to recruit an experienced Marine/Vetting Superintendent to join our in-house Technical Management team. The position reports directly to the DPA / MHSQE Manager.

Candidate Profile

• University degree in Maritime Studies, Naval Engineering, or Naval Architecture (MSc preferred), or a Class 2 (Chief Officer) Certificate of Competency with relevant seagoing experience as Chief Officer.
• Minimum 2 years of prior experience in a similar position within a shipping company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and attend vessels for internal and external ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, Navigation, PSC, and Vetting inspections.
• Investigate and analyze audit findings, third-party deficiencies, vetting results, incidents, and accidents.
• Oversee deck maintenance and marine operational matters both onboard and ashore, including review and approval of related stores and supplies.
• Identify risk conditions and non-conformities, providing proactive support and guidance to vessels in coordination with relevant departments.
• Assess crew training needs and deliver onboard training sessions during vessel visits.
