Unilens is a constantly developing company and is highly ranked among the most significant and industry leading companies in manufacturing and distributing ophthalmic lenses in Greece, such as eyeglasses and sun lenses. Since 2019, company is the official distributor of HOYA lenses in the country, while at the same time, trades its own branded lenses.

As Unilens further expands its operations, is currently looking for an IT Administrator (Medium Level) to join company's headquarters in Athens.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • User administration in Active Directory, Office 365 and other Software
  • Solving escalated Helpdesk tickets from Level 1 support
  • Building, deploying and maintaining systems, network and security infrastructure & applications for company's headquarters and its subsidiaries in North Greece and Crete
  • Monitoring and maintaining acceptable system performance
  • Coordinating with vendors on hardware replacements
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application, operating system problems, identifying hardware failures
  • Managing the connectivity and operation of optical devices between the company and optical stores
  • Assisting in any other project/task as requested
  • Other duties as they may be assigned

Requirements

A successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar subject
  • 3+ years of experience in Systems/Network Administration
  • Excellent knowledge of networking, modern operating systems, virtualization and web infrastructure
  • Very good knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
  • Working experience in MS SQL database
  • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity and Database consistency checks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in continuous learning and updating knowledge
  • Very good command of English language
  • Additional IT related professional certifications/qualifications will be considered an asset
  • Military obligation fulfilled

Useful

  • Some Web development / scripting expertise, or
  • Experience with Azure / Office 365, Esx, storage systems, Hyperv servers
  • Knowledge and some experience in iOS and macOS operating systems
