Quality Assurance & Configuration Management (QA/CM) Engineer
responsible for planning, designing, executing, manual and/or automating tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. As a Level II Engineer, you are expected to have hands-on experience with QA processes, tools, and methodologies, as well as a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AQAP requirements.
  • Participate in internal and supplier audits, ensuring compliance with SCYTALYS' quality procedures.
  • Assist in tracking non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve quality processes.
  • Conduct document and record control activities, ensuring compliance with quality management policies.
  • Support the review of engineering designs, manufacturing processes, and project documentation for quality adherence.
  • Collect and analyze QA activity metrics and report findings to the Quality Assurance & Configuration Manager.
  • Assist in customer and regulatory audits, ensuring required documentation is prepared and available.

Configuration Management Responsibilities

  • Assist in document control, version management, and release procedures for software and hardware configuration items (CIs).
  • Support Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and ensure approved changes are correctly documented and implemented.
  • Maintain and update configuration status records, ensuring traceability of changes across product life cycles.
  • Support the verification and validation of configuration items to ensure compliance with baseline requirements.
  • Ensure proper tracking and maintenance of engineering changes, discrepancy reports (DRs), and action items (AIs).
  • Participate in the inspection and testing phases, ensuring proper quality and configuration controls are in place.

Audit & Compliance Management

  • Assist in compliance verification against ISO 9001, AS9100, EIA649, AQAP, MIL-STD, and other applicable standards.
  • Help maintain audit records, supplier evaluation results, and compliance documentation.
  • Support supplier quality assessments, ensuring that vendors meet SCYTALYS' quality and configuration standards.

Process Improvement & Training

  • Assist in the development and improvement of QA/CM processes and work instructions.
  • Support training initiatives related to quality and configuration management processes.
  • Identify and propose efficiency improvements in quality and configuration management activities.

Furthermore

  • Is obliged to use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
  • Report any incident that is critical for Health and Safety
  • Always set the good example for safety
  • Participate to all meetings/seminars related to Health and Safety
  • Comply with organization policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Comply with Information Security Company Policies and Code of Conduct
  • Implementation of recycling work instructions and environmental procedures

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Configuration Management.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, EIA649, AQAP, MIL-STD and other relevant quality standards.
  • Knowledge of quality auditing techniques and configuration management principles.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic experience with document control, version tracking, and change management tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Technical & Language Skills

  • Fluency in English and Greek (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Configuration Management software tools (e.g., PLM, ERP, or version control systems).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
