In the Workforce Management division, we are dedicated to enhancing our proven solutions with the power of the cloud. Several software development teams are engaged in the process of migrating and building cloud-native solutions. And here is where we need a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic Backend Software Engineer.

You will be part of one of our international cross-functional squads, each focusing on a subset of our solutions. We utilize Scrum and Kanban methodologies, encouraging an environment of strong team collaboration. Every squad has well defined roles, such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc., ensuring a clear way of working. We value team connection and regularly organize both team and department events to keep everyone connected.

Your challenges

As our Software Engineer you will thrive on building and improving our full cloud native products and services which form the solution suites for several business areas. Some of the challenges you will face are implementing business logic, how to store data effectively in a NoSQL database, how to increase performance and throughput and how to apply and uphold DDD (domain-driven design) & Security principles for API's. You are responsible for the development of new functionalities, deployment, maintenance and support of the products and services.

Who you are:

A software engineer with experience working on backend services and infrastructure. You agree that the main role of a software engineer is to leverage technology to add value to the final product.

Furthermore:

• At least 3 years working experience in this field
• Experienced in designing software, e.g. know what design patterns and SOLID are
• Experience in writing technical designs
• Experience with Microsoft stack: .NET Core, ASP.Net Core, C# 7.0, LINQ
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure cloud (e.g. services like App Service, Azure Functions, Web Jobs, Application Insights, CosmosDB, Service Bus, Azure SQL, etc.)
• Used to working in an agile software development environment, with code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration/deployment

Please note: We have a hybrid work environment, wherein the employees are expected to work from office (Heraklion) 1 or 2 days per week.
