Procurement desk employee

Job purpose

The Procurement Employee will oversee various tasks associated with the onboarding, assessment, and qualification of new and existing MSC vendors across multiple business units. Additionally, the employee will manage activities related to vendor improvement actions to ensure compliance with MSC requirements. The Procurement Employee will adhere to corporate processes and directives and utilize digital tools specifically designed and configured to meet MSC's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in the utilization and management of the MSC Vendor Portal and the Ecovadis ESG platform for assigned tasks.
• Assess vendors through the MSC Vendor Portal in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with various stakeholders within the MSC organization (Agencies) for vendor assessment-related matters and interact with HQ corporate functions involved in the process (Procurement, Sustainability, Compliance) as needed.
• Monitor key metrics and produce ad hoc reports.
• Manage vendor-related activities in Ecovadis under HQ directives and collaborate closely with corporate functions to monitor and follow up on vendor improvement actions through dedicated dashboards and KPIs.

• Familiarity with SAP is a strong asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, preferably in English
• Quality/Details orientation and ability to identify issues
• Excellent computer and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure
