Join our team in Amanzoe. Scattered with Unesco-protected ruins, the beach-fringed Peloponnese has been at the heart of Greek culture for millennia. Resting on the east coast of the Peloponnese near Porto Heli, Amanzoe is a modern-day Acropolis from which 360-degree views encompass olive groves and the Aegean sea. Pavilions and villas all offer private pools with stunning views and fragrant gardens, whilst speedboats await at the beach to zip between nearby islands.
Role
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef who embodies Aman's commitment to culinary excellence to join Amanzoe, in the Peloponnese, Greece. Reporting to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality and supporting the development of refined and inspiring dishes. This position requires creativity, strong leadership and a hands-on approach, contributing to exceptional dining experiences that reflect Aman's renowned standards.
Responsibilities
· Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure consistent quality and smooth workflow.
· Support the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes in line with Aman standards.
· Lead and guide culinary colleagues through training, mentoring and clear communication.
· Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes, portioning and presentation guidelines.
· Maintain cleanliness, organisation and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
· Assist in menu development and seasonal culinary offerings.
· Monitor product quality, storage practices and inventory management.
· Contribute to maintaining a positive working environment within the culinary team.
· Work closely with the Executive Chef team to improve guest satisfaction and maintain operational efficiency.
Requirements
· A degree in Culinary Arts from a recognised institution in Greece or abroad.
· 1–2 years of experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
· Experience in Michelin-starred restaurants is considered an asset.
· International experience and knowledge of Asian cuisine is an advantage.
· Fluency in English is desirable.
· Strong organisational skills, time management and problem-solving abilities.
· A creative, detail-oriented and collaborative mindset aligned with Aman values.
· You must have the legal right to work in Greece.
