 Junior Energy Forecasting Analyst

The role will:

  • Support the development and improvement of forecasting models using basic ML/statistical techniques
  • Automate data preprocessing and forecasting workflows for greater efficiency
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to help refine model inputs
  • Prepare visualizations and help communicate forecast results to the Sourcing team
  • Contribute to day-to-day team operations by integrating forecasts into routine processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to document reusable insights, tools, and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Α Master's degree will be considered a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel functions and data handling
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts such as regression, clustering, and time-series modeling
  • Hands-on experience through academic projects, internships, or thesis work involving AI/ML on time-series data
  • Familiarity with Python or R and relevant ML/forecasting libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, statsmodels, XGBoost)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, feature engineering, and model evaluation
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with a proactive attitude toward process improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI/ML techniques in real-world energy forecasting challenges
