We are currently seeking for ambitious team players to become part of our Government & Public Sector Strategy & Business Design team for the European Union account, within our Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory business unit in Thessaloniki.

Within Deloitte S&BD, an international, multilingual team based in our offices in Brussels and in Thessaloniki is dedicated to offering consulting services to the institutions of the European Union (EU), including the majority of the Directorates-General of the European Commission and various EU agencies. The team liaises on a day-to-day basis with the EU institutions, in delivering a wide range of services, from policy design, policy evaluation, impact assessments, and analysis/strategic studies, to strategic transformation support, policy operate and implementation support. Examples of projects delivered over the recent years include: evaluations of Regulations in the areas of border management, organised and financial crime or competition policy, impact assessments in the areas of construction or space, market assessment and strategic studies in the areas of sustainability and circular economy, support for the definition and implementation of strategic objectives of EU agencies, or the implementation of EU flagship projects in the areas of international business cooperation, support to innovation, entrepreneurship and SMEs, promotion of skills.

#AboutYourRole

As a Strategy Consultant in our G&PS EU Account S&BD team, you will help our clients to address business-critical issues, and support executive level decision makers in finding solutions to answer complex strategic dilemmas. You will:

• Contribute to a wide range of projects helping our clients cope with the challenges they are facing across different policy domains such as Industry and Entrepreneurship, Employment and Social Affairs, Digital Technologies, Taxation, Migration and Home Affairs, Sustainability.
• Work with Partners, Directors, (Senior) Managers, and other members of the local teams to develop hypotheses and work out plans that address project objectives, ensuring effective organisation and prioritization to meet set deadlines.
• Support the client in determining its strategy and defining the right set of initiatives & projects to execute this strategy.
• Deliver engagements, including liaising with stakeholders, directing activities of people on the project team, collecting and analysing data, designing solutions and recommendations, supporting workshops, etc.
• Demonstrate creativity and a solution-oriented mindset when executing defined tasks and activities.
• Communicate analysis and recommendations in written, visual and oral communication with internal and client stakeholders.
• Build relationships between S&BD Deloitte and the client's project team.
• Contribute to business development activities.

#OurRequirements

Your Profile

• Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework.
• University degree ideally in economics, business, engineering is an asset.
• 1-3 years of proven professional experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.
• Previous knowledge of European policies will be valued.
