PPC Fibergrid -FTTH Field Supervision & Maintenance Technical Expert (Thessaloniki)

FTTH Field Supervision & Maintenance Technical Expert (Thessaloniki) coordinates the field crews and contractors to ensure the timely, quality, and quantitatively accurate construction of the FTTH network according to timelines. Oversees the acceptance of completed installations and simultaneously coordinates maintenance operations and fault resolution in the field within predefined restoration timeframes.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a complete and detailed inventory of network components and updates them with new data
• Controls the implementation of the FTTH network / PoP in the geographical area of his/her responsibility
• Cooperates with the corresponding Network teams for the proper construction, operation and maintenance of the FTTH network
• Collaborates with the Audit & Control team to ensure proper acceptance of network and infrastructure construction services
• Coordinates and resolves technical issues related to the total infrastructure and ensures reliable network operation
• Provides support and response during the handling of emergencies

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering in general or a degree in a technological/technical discipline from a University, Technological Educational Institute, or Vocational Training Institute
• At least 2 years of experience in Telecommunication Networks and in the construction, operation and maintenance of fiber optic networks and infrastructure
• Experience in managing partners across all phases of providing telecommunication services in the field is desirable
• Good knowledge of the construction and maintenance of New Generation Networks (FTTH - FTTB - FTTC)
• Good knowledge of the operation of measuring instruments in optical networks (OTDR - Power Meter & Source - OSA)
• Good knowledge of optical measurements analysis
• Good knowledge of GIS systems
• Good knowledge of the operation and management of electromechanical infrastructure
