Join INTRALOT as a Database Administrator (DBA)

Your Role:
As a Database Administrator at INTRALOT, you'll play an active role in maintaining and optimizing our database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You'll contribute to database design, automation, and optimization initiatives, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-level solutions across On-Premises, Cloud, and Hybrid infrastructures.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Contribute to the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MS SQL Server) across different environments.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune database performance, perform query tuning, and ensure reliability and scalability.

  • Security & Compliance: Maintain strong backup, recovery, and access control procedures, ensuring compliance with standards such as GDPR and the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework.

  • Automation & Scripting: Support and enhance automation processes using tools like Bash, Python, and Ansible, applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles where relevant.

  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with Software Development, Infrastructure, and QA teams to deliver stable and efficient database solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend best practices to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.


Your Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in database administration, supporting and optimizing production or enterprise-level systems.

  • Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of at least one major RDBMS (MySQL or Oracle) and familiarity with others such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MS SQL Server.

  • Automation Mindset: Experience with scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible) and understanding of IaC concepts.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve performance or configuration issues.

  • Communication & Teamwork: Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude when working with diverse technical teams.

  • Growth Orientation: Motivation to keep learning, adapt to new technologies, and contribute to improving internal systems and processes.
