About the job

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Professional to join our Cyber Security Operations team. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data by leveraging security tools, incident response procedures, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the incident response team in managing security incidents to achieve prompt containment, comprehensive investigation, and effective resolution.
  • Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security threats and incidents across the organization's IT and cloud environments.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of security events, triage alerts, and escalate or resolve incidents as appropriate.
  • Respond to security incidents by executing containment, eradication, recovery, and root cause analysis procedures.
  • Assist in developing and improving incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Leverage threat intelligence into operations to enhance detection capabilities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Continuously utilize and tune security tools (firewalls, antivirus, DLP, SIEM, EDR, etc.) to improve detection and response capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams (developers and platform engineers) to foster a security-as-code culture.
  • Support external and internal audits, and ensure compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, DORA, etc.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (MSc, BSc).
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, GSOC,GSOM, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident response, threat detection and SOC management, preferably in the Financial or Consulting Sector.
  • Proven experience in managing cyber incidents by thorough review, analysis and structured reporting.
  • Proven expertise in SIEM solutions.
  • Understanding of EDR/XDR, WAF, NDR, CASB, IAM, Zero Trust, and cloud security tooling, will be considered as an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of market dynamics, emerging trends, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, with composure working under pressure.
