HR & Payroll Specialist (Village Roadshow Greece)

About the Role

Village Cinemas is looking for a highly organized and hands-on HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is key in managing the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on payroll processing, workforce management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a generalist HR background, with experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and compliance, while also possessing payroll expertise to support our shift-based workforce.

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can manage day-to-day HR operations while also identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description

  • Oversee the employee lifecycle, including hiring plans, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to public organizations (ERGANI, EFKA)
  • Develop and maintain weekly shift schedules for a shift-based workforce, optimizing efficiency and compliance
  • Act as a key contact for payroll and HR-related queries, ensuring employees receive the necessary support
  • Identify and implement process improvements across HR functions to enhance efficiency
  • Identify and support training and development needs, including performance management processes
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining accurate employee records and managing reporting requirements
  • Organize employee engagement activities to foster a positive company culture
  • Assist in policy development and ensure alignment with company objectives and labor laws

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in an HR generalist role, including payroll processing and workforce management
  • Experience in retail will be considered a plus
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadline
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll software
  • High ethical standards, fitting with the Values of Antenna Group
