FIDS and IPTV Engineer

GEK TERNA GROUP is seeking a:

FIDS and IPTV Engineer

for the Airport project.

Role responsibilities:

• Supports the package manager on FIDS (Flight Information Display System) and IPTV (IP Television) system design, installation, integration, testing and commissioning at Crete Airport.
• Assists the package manager to manage and deliver the system design, Installation, integration, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of the system to the client.
• Works with all the stakeholders to understand airport FIDS and IPTV operational needs and translates them into requirements.
• Aids package manager for recording the requirements collected from the clients and stakeholders and incorporating them into the design and sign-off and approvals.
• Collaborates with sub-system providers and collects the interface requirements to deploy and integrate with airport infrastructure. 
• Supports Package manager to design value engineering.
• Facilitates Package manager to stay in line with Greek and European standards.
• Reviews the design provided by the vendor and attends the meetings.
• Reports the daily/weekly progress of works to the reporting manager
• Supports package manager to keep the system's schedule under control.
• Closely coordinates for requirement collection and sign-off, and for testing, commissioning, and integration of IT systems.
• Coordinates with diverse teams for getting design approvals, necessary permits and procedures to start at the site.
• Works closely with Client, sub-contractors, IE, Airlines, police and other airport stakeholders to execute all required tests and arrange training activities as per project needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in executing projects
• Good knowledge of Airport systems such as FIDS and IPTV systems deployment
• Existing exposure in projects or operations in the above systems
