The Goal
OpenBet are looking for a Sports Trader for its leading Managed Trading Operations to focus on American Sports. You will be responsible for pricing events, risk management, bet settlement and analysis.

This role would be well suited to an individual with previous experience in a Trading Room and very good knowledge of Sports Betting, looking to further their career with a market-leading company.

What You'll Be Doing
Execute trading and risk management strategy and techniques (pregame and live betting monitoring and compiling along with updating odds) for multiple sports and betting environments

• Statistical data analysis, evaluation and reporting
• Excel on 'day to day' operations of the team
• Ensure Payout and Sales targets are met for multiple projects
• Deliver personal KPI's and ensuring performance is in line with overall company targets
• Monitor prices and control liabilities
• Effectively profile the customer base
• Negotiate bets
• Adjust pricing for certain events when necessary
• Ensure correct and timely resulting of the events
• Creation of special/PR/novelty markets as required
• Ensure all deadlines are met
• Work closely with the Product Management team to influence and discuss new features

Key Accountabilities

• Report and escalate issues surfacing during shift to the shift leader
• Build and maintain close working relationships within the trading team
• Provide feedback for the Trading Procedures
• Provide feedback for the Product

The Player
What You'll Bring

• Knowledge of American Sports is a must
• Good knowledge of the Sports betting market betting methodology and bookmaking principles and techniques, would be considered a plus
• Understanding of the odds making process (probabilities, over-rounds, margins, payout ratio)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in trading roles of 2+ years
• University Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
• Familiarity with the sports betting business (bookmakers, markets, rules, betting trends)
• Customer-focused, focused on improving customer experience
• Great attention to detail with the aim to provide quality results in a short time
• Confident to make quality decisions under pressure
• Computer literacy with, in depth knowledge of MS Office
• Proficient in English
• Strong awareness of the sporting calendar
• Ability to work flexible hours in line with the needs of the business and the sporting calendar (24/7/365)

We have a collaborative office environment with our team members in office, this role requires 5 days per week on-site.
