Fusion Apothecary strictly follows US FDA guidelines, UAE Ministry of Health regulations, and USP standards for Good Compounding Practice to ensure the highest quality for our customers.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a lab coordinator based in Athens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Coordination:

  • Plan and coordinate daily laboratory testing schedules to support compounding, production, and release timelines.

  • Manage sample reception, testing prioritisation, and data reporting for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Maintain stock of laboratory reagents, standards, and consumables; oversee ordering and inventory control.
  • Coordinate instrument calibration, maintenance, and verification activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and traceability of all analytical work per GMP and company policies.

Analytical and Technical Duties:

  • Conduct routine and non-routine chemical and physical analyses (e.g., potency, pH, viscosity, identification, stability).
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for compounded formulations when needed.
  • Review and interpret test data, investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, and support root cause analysis.
  • Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure laboratory operations comply with GMP, GLP, USP, and internal quality standards.
  • Prepare and review laboratory documentation, including analytical worksheets, SOPs, and test methods.
  • Participate in internal and external audits; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Train and mentor laboratory staff on compounding methods, documentation practices, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment in compliance with OSHA and the company's safety guidelines.
  • Communication and Reporting
  • Liaise with Production, QA, and R&D teams to support formulation development, troubleshooting, and batch release.
  • Prepare analytical summaries and trend reports for management.
  • Provide technical support and ensure timely communication of test results and deviations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a pharmaceutical laboratory, preferably in compounding or quality control.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and USP standards.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques
  • Excellent organisational, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet regulatory timelines.
  • Proficiency with LIMS or other laboratory data management systems.
