Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled 
Service Engineers
 to provide technical support, maintenance, and crew training for our robotic systems on ships. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in servicing electromechanical systems and the ability to work in maritime environments. This role involves international travel and direct interaction with ship crews and clients, delivering demonstrations and ensuring optimal robot performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Servicing & Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underwater robotic systems onboard ships.
  • Ensure all robotic systems are functioning optimally and meet performance standards.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines.

Inspection & Performance Assessment:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of robots to ensure mechanical, electrical, and software integrity.
  • Assess and document robot performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Crew Training & Support:

  • Train ship crews on the operation, safety, and basic maintenance of robotic systems.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and address crew questions to ensure smooth operation.

Demonstrations & Client Interaction:

  • Conduct cleaning demonstrations and performance inspections for potential and existing clients.
  • Serve as a company representative, ensuring excellent client service and satisfaction.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed service reports, including maintenance records and recommendations for improvements.
  • Document client interactions and feedback for internal review.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to provide feedback for product development and improvements.
  • Liaise with the customer support team to address client concerns and provide solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in servicing mechanical or electromechanical systems, preferably in the maritime or robotics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and basic software diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in marine environments or onboard ships.
  • Understanding of underwater robotic systems and their maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hull cleaning and performance inspection processes.
  • Experience in training and client-facing roles.
