Quality Assurance Engineer

Are you our new QA engineer?

We're now looking for a QA Engineer with a curious mind and a passion for technology - whether you're fresh from university, have a few years of experience, or have been honing your skills on personal projects. This is a great opportunity to grow into test automation while making sure our products are rock-solid. You'll be part of a collaborative tech team, learning from experienced colleagues, experimenting with new tools, and playing a key role in building software that is reliable, scalable, and a joy to use.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Plan, design, implement, and oversee testing strategies.
• Analyze user stories and create test cases covering various user scenarios.
• Execute test cases to uncover bugs and improve software quality.
• Assist in maintaining a healthy test environment.
• Communicate with stakeholders, report testing progress, and highlight potential blockers.

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with API testing tools.
• Interest in contributing to end-to-end test automation in Playwright.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/ TypeScript.
• Ability to work with loosely defined requirements and explore software behavior.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Ability to understand loosely defined requirements and discover software behaviors via ad-hoc methods.

Our Background

The Fairlo story began thirty years ago with the family of our founders Jimmy and Shamon fleeing political turmoil and ending up in Sweden. Struggling to give her children all that they desired, Jimmy and Shamon's mother took a small unsecured loan. Much later, having grown up, the two brothers revisited this incident and it became the spark that ignited the Fairlo vision. The fact that a trusted bank took predatory advantage of their family, when they were the most vulnerable, became the starting point of a quest to create a fair credit service. Since the start about six years ago, we've been working tirelessly to live up to the vision of an honest and easy-to-understand credit service.
