Your work will help connect
physical sensors to human decisions
—bridging the gap between precision data and practical impact in sustainable farming.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing and building the
backend infrastructure
that communicates with our smart sensor system. You'll ensure fast, reliable, and secure data delivery from the field to the farmer's hands.

Responsibilities

Cloud Backend

  • Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs
  • Build cloud-based data pipelines for sensor data ingestion
  • Set up secure cloud storage and database systems (e.g. Firebase, AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Handle user authentication, authorization, and data privacy
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and uptime

Requirements

  • Strong experience with
    cloud services
    (e.g. Firebase, AWS Lambda, GCP, Azure)
  • Proficient in backend development using
    Python
    , or
    Go
  • Solid database skills:
    Firestore
    ,
    PostgreSQL
    ,
    MongoDB or NoSQL
  • Experience with
    mobile development frameworks
    like Flutter, React Native, or native Android/iOS
  • Familiarity with API design, authentication, and secure data handling
  • Knowledge of
    DevOps practices
    (CI/CD, containerization, monitoring) is a plus
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with hardware, ML, and product teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with real-time data and WebSockets
  • Exposure to IoT or edge-device integration
  • Familiarity with MQTT or other lightweight IoT protocols
  • Passion for sustainability, agri-tech, or environmental innovation
