CLAIMS TECHNICIAN - CLAIMS DIRECT

Location: Athens

Full-time | Permanent

Role Summary:

As part of our team, you will actively handle clients' claims and manage the broking of their claims towards Insurers (direct business) and Reinsurers (Treaty/Facultative), following the company's processes and procedures throughout the workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Notify, update and follow up on claims across all lines of business, and broker claims towards Insurers and Reinsurers.
• Cooperate with insured clients and assist them through all steps of the claims-handling process until final settlement.
• Collect cash losses and payment requests across all Treaty and Facultative business lines.
• Support the Accounting and Broking teams with bordereaux claims payments across all lines of business.
• Manage the full communication cycle with clients in local and international markets, including insureds, insurers, reinsurers, surveyors, and loss adjusters.
• Review submitted claims' supporting documentation.
• Review survey reports, assess findings/conclusions, and broker back relevant information to Insurers/Reinsurers when necessary.
• Maintain accurate electronic filing and structured data entry in the company's IT systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Claims Division and with the Broking, Accounting, and Technical Accounting teams.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years minimum of previous working experience in a Claims Department within the insurance industry.
• University degree in Insurance Studies/ Statistics Science/ Business Administration/ Law.
• Proven experience in handling claims across various lines of business (LoBs).

Solid understanding of the general principles of Insurance and Reinsurance.

• Excellent user of computer and experienced in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Outlook).
• Excellent proficiency in both Greek and English language (spoken and written).
• Excellent command of computer tools, with proven experience in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Outlook).
• Strong Teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility.
• Effective influencing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
