About The Job
We are looking for a highly skilled wireless communications expert to join Deutsche Telekom as a
3GPP RAN1 Standardization Delegate
. In this role, you will actively contribute to shaping the future of
6G
by participating in international standardization activities and collaborating closely with Deutsche Telekom's internal RAN strategy and standardization teams. The role is based in
Greece
and involves regular worldwide travel (approximately 6 weeks per year) to attend 3GPP RAN1 meetings.

What We Will Trust You With

  • Develop 6G concepts and optimize physical layer RAN solutions aligned with Deutsche Telekom's strategy.
  • Represent Deutsche Telekom in 3GPP RAN WG1, preparing, presenting, defending, and discussing contributions.
  • Analyze and report on contributions from other companies and coordinate internally to align strategies.
  • Monitor developments in related 3GPP groups (RAN2, RAN3, RAN4) and O-RAN.
  • Support research and engineering teams with 3GPP-related insights and participate as a main expert in internal projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, concept papers, presentations, and contribute to patent filings.

About You
We are looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong teamwork and communication skills.

What You Will Need

  • Very good knowledge of 3GPP 5G NR and 5G-Advanced specifications; LTE/LTE-A experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills in wireless communications, including OFDM/OFDMA, MIMO, interference control, and physical channel design.
  • Experience with AI/ML for wireless networks, especially focused on the physical layer.
  • Awareness of or participation in the latest research in mobile communications, particularly towards 6G.
  • Prior experience attending 3GPP RAN1 meetings and preparing contributions (or similar standardization bodies).
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, including experience with patent applications.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Wireless Communications.
  • Fluency in English (minimum C1) with excellent presentation and negotiation skills; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and networking skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
