Financial Controller
Job Summary
The Financial Controller will operate in a company environment active in both manufacturing and commercial activity. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local and group accounting standards, and processing the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning tasks. The Financial Controller will assist in providing financial insight to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Closing
• Perform the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings checks in line with Group and local GAAP requirements.
• Prepare accurate and timely submission of reporting packages to Group headquarters in Italy.
• Monitor standard costing and reconcile general ledger accounts, accruals, provisions, and inventory valuation.
Planning & Forecasting
• Prepare the tasks for the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning processes.
• Collaborate with the commercial and production teams to prepare robust, data-driven forecasts and variance analyses.
• Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity testing on key financial drivers.
Cost Control &
Analysis
• Analyze manufacturing co
sts, product margins, and plant performance KPIs.
• Ensure accurate standard costing (absorption costing) and participate in cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor variances between actual and standard costs and investigate root causes.
Internal Controls & Compliance
• Participate in the process of compliance with Greek tax, legal, and statutory regulations.
• Monitor internal controls in line with group policy.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory and group audits.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA) is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial roles, including manufacturing environment experience.
• Experience in a multinational company and working with group reporting processes.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Greek GAAP; familiarity with cost accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel and ERP / BPM system familiarity (e.g., D365, Oracle…)
