Your role as an Automation Testing professional will focus on implementing automated test cases in robust testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing, with a focus on automation, performance, and scalability.

You will also gain exposure to emerging practices involving Generative AI tools that can assist in test case generation, code scaffolding, test data creation, and accelerating script development.

During your tenure, your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Implement Automated Testing:
    Create and maintain comprehensive automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.
  • Integration with CI/CD Tools:
    Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines using e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, ensuring tests are run consistently with each build and deployment.
  • Advanced Scripting:
    Write advanced scripts in programming languages such as Java, Python and C# to support testing frameworks and test cases.
  • GenAI-Enhanced Productivity:
    Leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate test script prototyping, generate test scenarios, and assist in exploratory code analysis.
  • Code Reviews & Quality Assurance:
    Participate in code reviews to ensure test code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging:
    Investigate and resolve issues related to test failures, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.
  • Tool & Technology Evaluation:
    Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness, recommending and implementing improvements.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in automated testing.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python and C#.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Experience with Gherkin scripting language (BDD) for the design of automated test cases.
  • Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, or similar.
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or similar.
  • Interest in using GenAI tools to enhance productivity in test development and data generation.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • An ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced level) will be considered a plus.
  • Experience in Financial Services (Banking and/or Insurance), Energy, Telecommunication or relevant sectors will be considered a plus.
  • Military obligations fulfilled, where applicable.
