Position Overview:

The HR Executive will own HR administration and operational HR activities across a broader company group (including shipbroking, hotel operations and other sister entities), partnering closely with Head Office and site Managers. This hands‑on role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, performance support, compliance and people‑focused initiatives to elevate staff engagement and service standards across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities:

Recruitment & onboarding

o  Manage full recruitment cycle for permanent, seasonal and corporate roles across group entities: job descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, offers and pre‑employment checks.

o  Coordinate induction programs and probation processes; ensure smooth arrival and integration of staff across sites (island operations, shipbroking office and other group locations).

  • Employee relations & wellbeing

o  Act as HR contact for staff queries, complaints and disciplinaries across the group; support conflict resolution with discretion and fairness.

o  Promote well-being initiatives, absence management and occupational health referrals where required.

  • HR administration & compliance

o  Maintain accurate personnel records, contracts, work permits and legal documentation in line with Greek labor law and entity‑specific policy.

o  Ensure timely submission of HR data to payroll and external providers, support payroll reconciliation and correction processes for multiple entities.

  • Performance & development

o  Support group performance management cycle: goal setting, reviews, training needs analysis and learning plans.

o  Design and deliver training, onboarding updates and manager coaching to build capability across business units and teams.

o  Design and implement staff development initiatives (training, upskilling, career progression and succession planning) applicable at broader group level.

  • Rewards & retention

o  Support benchmarking and review of compensation, benefits and recognition programs across entities and implement initiatives to boost motivation and retention.

  • Internal communication & culture

o  Drive clear two‑way communication between Head Office, GMs and operating teams; support cross‑entity engagement activities and staff events.

o  Promoting company group values, diversity and inclusive workplace practices.

  • Operational support & travel

o  Travel occasionally across company group locations (including shipbroking offices and partner sites) for site visits, recruitment drives, inductions and HR projects; be available for ad‑hoc onsite needs during peak season.

  • Reporting & projects

o  Produce HR metrics and regular reports for Management and Head Office; lead or contribute to group HR projects (policy harmonization, process improvements, system rollouts, etc.).

Requirements

  • 7+ years HR experience, preferably within hospitality, shipping/shipbroking or fast‑paced service environments; experience with multi‑entity/seasonal staffing is an advantage.
  • Solid working knowledge of Greek labor law and multi‑entity HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong operational HR skills: recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR administration across different business units.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Organized, proactive and able to work independently; high discretion and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable with regular travel across group locations and occasional peak‑period onsite presence.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, MS Office; payroll coordination and multi‑entity HR system experience preferred.
