Public Procurement

Ommalite, distributor of ophthalmic medical devices, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Public Procurement & Tenders Assistant to support our procurement division. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and submission of tenders, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Your role will be integral to the success of Ommalite's operations, as you will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and accurate submision of tenders from public hospitals . The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and an understanding of public procurement practices.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of public tenders and procurement documents.
• Support and maintain procurement databases and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information and documentation for tenders.
• Research and analyze public procurement opportunities in accordance with company objectives.
• Monitor tender deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids.
• Prepare reports and analysis on procurement performance and outcomes.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
• Previous experience in public procurement or tender management is necessary.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
