The role

We are looking for a passionate Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge products while delivering an outstanding user experience. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams - including product owners, developers, and designers - to test and validate our web and mobile applications, while at the same time enabling the efficient delivery of high-quality products and minimizing the need of rework. Your role will span from participating in specification and testing phases, to reporting and grooming bugs, with a strong focus on UI/UX testing. The role involves a mix of manual and automated testing, with automation being a key part of our QA strategy moving forward.

Responsibilities

As a QA Engineer in Ferryhopper, you will:

  • Review specifications and provide meaningful feedback to identify gaps and potential pain points.
  • Analyze tasks and propose the most effective testing approach for each case.
  • Prepare test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements.
  • Execute test cases manually and via automation, documenting results.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs, ensuring thorough retesting once resolved.
  • Perform regression testing (manual and automated).
  • Design, maintain, and expand test automation frameworks.
  • Suggest and adopt new testing tools, processes, and strategies to enhance quality assurance.

We're seeking someone who is equally skilled at spotting existing bugs and at predicting potential issues, either during the release cycle or throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Analytical thinking with strong problem-spotting skills.
  • Advocacy for quality in every stage of the process.
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Passion for process improvement and raising testing standards.
  • User-focused, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Fluency in English and Greek (both written and verbal).

Skills & experience:

  • 2+ years of prior QA/testing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Cypress).
  • Knowledge of structured testing methods and procedures.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience in testing both web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with version control systems (git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Clickup).

It would be a plus:

  • ISTQB certification.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and challenges.

The health of our company and the success of our products is directly related to the health of our team and the work environment we create for ourselves. With this in mind, we strive to provide an inclusive and positive working environment. In this respect, we offer:

  • A competitive compensation package
  • Equipment of your choice
  • Quick professional development
  • Training and educational budget throughout the year
  • Great office space :)
  • Work in a collaborative and dynamic environment
