SUMMARY

The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance code. This role is critical to ensuring that systems function reliably and efficiently while adhering to best programming practices. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing systems, and assure code quality through regular reviews and testing.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code aligned with task requirements.
  • Test and validate software functionality, ensuring high performance.
  • Automate and update systems to optimize efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
  • Implement requested tasks with minimal fixes and changes.
  • Collaborate with the System Analyst and Team Lead to ensure task clarity and alignment with business goals.
  • Participate in sprint planning and meetings to support task organization and prioritization.
  • Ensure implementations follow best programming practices and are sustainable.
  • Provide technical insights and improvements to stakeholders to enhance system functionality.
  • Regularly update knowledge on emerging programming techniques and industry best practices.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for task completion.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and departmental training sessions.
  • Support continuous system performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control measures during software development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Strong PHP development experience (Laravel required, CodeIgniter would be an advantage).
  • Ability to understand and work with legacy systems.
  • knowledge.
  • Experience with MySQL, REST APIs, Git.
  • Knowledge of SOLID, DRY, and clean code principles.
  • Testing experience (PHPUnit, integration tests).
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Agile mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Experience with ERP/CRM/business systems (would be an advantage).
  • Experience migrating legacy systems or with Domain-Driven Design (would be an advantage).
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD (would be an advantage).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in back-end software development.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
