Job description

We are seeking to employ a customs broker for our Piraeus office who demonstrates a strong ethical mindset and an organizational culture.

Primary Responsibilities

Planning: the weekly and daily workload, establishing priorities to achieve the set goals.

Execution: the process runs smoothly and in accordance with KPI's.

Evaluation: measure the teams' efficiency, determine root cause, and implement solutions.

Customs Clearance: prepare and submit the necessary documentation to customs authorities on behalf of importers and exporters.

Tariff Classification: classify goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes.

Μember of the customs clearance team of the Piraeus office.

Duty Calculation: calculate the duties, taxes, and other fees payable based on their classification, value, and country of origin.

Compliance: ensure that imported and exported goods comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and trade agreements.

Record-Keeping: maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation as required by customs authorities.

Communication: serve as a liaison between importers/exporters and customs authorities, providing guidance and assistance.

Consultation: advise clients on customs regulations, procedures, and best practices to minimize delays, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Risk Management: assess potential risks such as compliance issues, valuation discrepancies, or prohibited items, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Continuous Education: stay updated on changes in customs regulations, trade policies, and industry trends.

Qualifications and Education

Possession of a customs clearance diploma.

Proficiency in Office 365.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in customs brokerage.

Strong presentation skills, coupled with effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Excellent proficiency in English communication and writing.

Holds a valid driver's license.

Work Environment

The job entails working full-time within an office located in Oinofyta, servicing customs operations in the Attica region. Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
