Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract an Indirect Buyer to join our HQ Indirect Global Procurement team at Sunlight's Athens  premises.

The Indirect Buyer will be responsible for the Indirect Procurement services category and sub-category for Sunlight's Indirect categories. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and a keen understanding of cost control. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and suppliers to ensure that our indirect procurement needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deliver the operational requirements (including purchase requests and purchase orders) related to assigned Indirect categories to ensure the business needs are satisfied.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure objectives and key requirements are understood and aligned with procurement strategy.
  • Monitor and ensure the efficient resolution of issues related to delayed supply and/or improper quality of the incoming Indirect good and services.
  • Negotiate, renegotiate, and contribute to the preparation of contracts and NDAs with vendors and other representatives to achieve the most favorable agreements of commercial terms and contract conditions.
  • Evaluate suppliers on a regularly basis, according to company's required standards and contract terms.
  • Create reports according to procurement's procedures.
  • Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods / services delivered.
  • Drive the quotation processes, define evaluation criteria, identify and select suppliers, execute the evaluation process, refine and validate sourcing and purchasing options, manage buy-in of business unit leaders including preparation and execution of RFPs, RFIs, RFx procurement process in collaboration with business, plants and technical departments.
  • Build sound relationships with suppliers and partners (internal and external).
  • Manage contract information to ensure that portfolio has consistent information and renewals or termination due date are under control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain or relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Buyer role (preferably in manufacturing or IT sector).
  • Fluency in Greek & English (both verbal & written) is a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
  • Proven experience of working with SAP/ERP system.
  • Excellent communication and negation skills with the ability to build trustworthy relationships.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized and problem resolving mentality.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
  • Experience in multinational environment.
