About ECHN

The European Creative Hubs Network is a peer-led network with a mission to enhance the creative, economic, and social impact of hubs. As focal points for creative businesses, hubs offer an effective way to support the growth and development of creative industries. To achieve this, hubs themselves need to network, pool resources, share best practices, and build advocacy, policy, and opportunities as a strong and cohesive community.

The ECHN community gathers creative hub leaders across Europe and beyond to support hubs and, consequently, Europe's creative industries. Our community comprises approximately 400 members and encompasses a broader network of other relevant organizations and stakeholders from the CCI sector.

About the Job

We are looking for a part-time Community Manager to handle all processes related to the community of hub leaders in the European Creative Hubs Network.

As an empathetic and passionate community manager, you will be the main point of contact for the community and responsible for related communications and community events. You will be in direct contact with creative hub leaders and teams across Europe, with opportunities for networking and travel, while also contributing to strategic projects with leading institutions in Europe and beyond.

You will work closely with the ECHN Director of Operations and other colleagues to achieve an efficient workflow.

Contract Type:
 Employment Contract

Involvement:
 4 hours/day; 20 hours/week

Location:
 Preferably based in Athens, Greece (remote applications will also be considered)

Contract Duration:
 1 year starting January 2026, with an option to extend

Responsibilities

• Being the first point of contact for network members, conducting interviews with candidates, and following up on their membership journeys
• Establishing regular contact with each member of the network and ensuring an efficient information flow
• Managing the community's communication channels with an inclusive and original language and tone
• Designing and leading interventions to increase the number and quality of collaborations among network members, in collaboration with other project managers
• Taking part in executing activities and initiatives aimed at community members within ECHN's annual programme and other specific projects
• Following up on ECHN's projects and guiding members through participation opportunities in a clear and accessible way
• Managing new memberships and onboarding processes
• Leading the membership renewal process, in collaboration with the accountant and the treasurer
• Developing membership models further and identifying new value propositions for different audiences
• Ideating, strategizing, and executing internal (community) and external (PR) communications, including content for the ECHN homepage, alongside the Communications Manager
• Aggregating members' content and managing the monthly newsletter for members and the community
• Initiating and executing activities and event series to engage the community; traveling on-site to member hubs when needed
• Creating periodic reports in spreadsheets
• Supporting the growth and development of the network in both quality and quantity

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a related domain (online/offline community management, customer relationships management, communications, copywriting)
• Strong motivation to interact with people on a daily basis to achieve shared goals
• Proficiency in creative content generation
• Ability to bring together and connect people both online and offline; strong moderation skills
• Ability to see the "big picture" and strategically respond to communication flows with fluent storytelling
• Awareness of recent trends in the Cultural and Creative Industries ecosystem
• Willingness and eligibility to travel within Europe

Preferred Skills and Qualities

• Strong understanding of the creative hubs ecosystem
• Experience in project management
• Optimistic mindset and ability to embrace ambiguity
• Empathy, strong self-expression, and clear communication skills
• Proficiency with Google Suite for collaborative teamwork and document organization
• Experience with digital project management and communication tools (newsletter platforms, social media, and related online services)
• Basic proficiency in visual design software (such as Canva, Adobe tools, or similar)
