Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a
Robotics Engineer / Autonomous Systems
located in Athens. The Robotics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robotics and automation systems. The role includes day-to-day tasks such as software development, testing, and integration of new algorithms, debugging and optimising existing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in the entire development lifecycle from conceptualisation to deployment.
Your Role
- Develop, implement, and optimise real-time flight algorithms spanning topics such as computer vision, localisation and mapping, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control.
- Design robust, efficient and well-tested production-ready code.
- Develop a deep understanding of core robotic principles and how UAS works.
- Participate in missions for testing the systems in real-world environments.
Your Profile
- MSc/PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT, Mechanical Engineering or Robotics-related degrees.
- 2-4 years of direct hands-on experience with implementing SLAM, motion planning, or control algorithms.
- Strong software engineering foundation, committed to writing clean, tested, and well-structured code.
- Good proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS2.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with communication protocols.
- Previous UAV/UAS experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A good team player willing to work in a dynamic and ambitious team.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise tasks.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- A desire to be part of a fast-moving team and work in a collaborative environment with few rigid boundaries.
