Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong development background to join our team. This role bridges software development and IT operations, requiring someone who deeply understands the developer experience and can build robust, scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Location

Zact is a global company with multiple locations across US, Europe and India.

We provide 100% Remote Working Option.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Automation

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable software delivery
  • Automate operational tasks and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production systems

Developer Enablement

  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize build and deployment workflows
  • Provide technical guidance on containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native architectures
  • Build and maintain internal tools and platforms that improve developer productivity
  • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning application code, infrastructure, and deployment systems

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience in languages such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, or similar
  • 2+ years of DevOps/SRE experience or equivalent infrastructure and operations work
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, version control (Git), and agile methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and Linux/Unix system administration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog)
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems
  • Background in microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with database operations and management
  • Understanding of cost optimization in cloud environments
