Salary - Mid–Senior: 2,500-4,500€/month for contractors in Tunisia/Greece depending on seniority and location

The role:

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be a part of the ongoing development and rapid growth of the Adzuna job search engine and related technology in one of the UK's most dynamic and fastest-growing startups.

Adzuna recently acquired Seiza and we're seeking a highly motivated software engineer to support the development and maintenance of this latest addition to our technology stack that consists of a microservice-based infrastructure, built primarily with Go, Typescript, , PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS. You will start your Adzuna career working within this area of the business but over time you will have the opportunity to use your skills to work across the wider Adzuna product set.

The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute quickly to production code and take part in system design, maintenance and feature delivery. 

At Adzuna you will work independently in a fast-moving, low-structure environment where you will have the opportunity to help shape our technical direction and processes as we grow. An appreciation of the 'DevOps' movement is essential as we manage and monitor the systems ourselves. You will also need to understand the importance of building structured code that is fast, scalable, testable, reliable and robust.

You'll be joining a growing team of 35 engineers working alongside product, data science and commercial teams. The engineering team will benefit from your experience to date but even more important is the passion you bring to work every day. We don't like to put people in boxes, but you're likely to be able to demonstrate experience of or aptitude for much of the below: 

• Strong engineering background, curious and delivery-driven
• Experience in modern backend development using Go and PostgreSQL
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, pragmatic environment
• Motivated by ownership, technical quality, and business impact
• Incredible work ethic, drive and passion
• Fluent in English; French is a plus
