On behalf of our client, a leading company specializing in the design, construction, and supply of intelligent connected lighting systems for public and private infrastructures (roads, tunnels, squares, pedestrian areas, parks, outdoor, and indoor spaces, sports facilities, etc.), we are currently seeking for
a Senior Network Engineer to join the Public Sector Projects team.

A day in the life of a Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, your daily journey is a dynamic blend of technical expertise.

Your day-to-day

  • Design and implementation of wireless networks (WiFi, PtP Wireless Links, LoRa, IoT), including RF studies, coverage analysis, and network capacity planning
  • Configuration and management of network equipment, such as Access Points, PtP Wireless Links, Wireless Sensors, Routers, and Switches
  • Network monitoring through management software and troubleshooting connectivity and network performance issues using diagnostic tools (software-hardware)
  • Documentation of network procedures and policies, including as-built plans and providing reports to project management
  • Site surveys and collaboration with other IT teams to support integrated IoT and Smart City solutions
  • Monitoring new technologies and staying updated on best practices in the field of wireless networks and IoT solutions

What you will need

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Degree from a University (AEI), Technical Educational Institution (TEI), or Vocational School (IEK), in a technological field such as Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Networks
  • Experience with network equipment, such as Cisco Meraki, Cambium, or Huawei
  • Certifications, such as CCNA Wireless, CWNA, or other relevant certifications, will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of WAN, LAN, WLAN, IoT (Access Points, PtP Wireless Links, Wireless Sensors, Routers, and Switches)
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for technical issues
  • Proficient in computer use and MS Office
  • Good command of the Greek and English languages
  • Driver's license
  • Commitment for continuous learning and staying up to date with new technologies
