Job Summary:

Costamare is seeking to hire an Assistant Budget Controller to join its Dry Bulk team. The ideal candidate should have at least one years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a shipping company of the Dry Bulk sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual OPEX budget for the Dry Bulk Fleet.
  • Follow up on the monthly OPEX reports received by vessel's Third-Party Managers.
  • Prepare consolidated OPEX reports (Monthly / Quarterly / Annual)
  • Prepare and submit reports to Chartering Department for the expenses submitted by the Third-Party Managers.
  • Participate in the OPEX results reviews with the Third-Party Managers
  • Assist in the approval process of funds requested by Third-Party Managers.
  • Record all invoices submitted by the Third-Party Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills 
    and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools; experience with Power BI or similar software will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • High sense of organization, and teamwork.
