Hiveact is a new intelligent fitness brand targeting every exerciser looking for a unique interactive workout experience, regardless of age, fitness level or physical condition. It will gradually include a series of smart devices designed to connect with our app allowing users to use them in any indoor or outdoor environment.
The DevOps Engineer will help us to build and optimize our deployment infrastructure. Our stack includes both web and mobile applications, and we're looking for someone who can grow with us as we scale our infrastructure and deployment processes.
Your Role in Hiveact
As a
DevOps Engineer
, you will play a key role in automating deployment processes and maintaining the reliability, security, and scalability of our web and mobile applications. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our infrastructure and development workflows.
Required Qualifications and Technical skills
- 2+ years in DevOps, system administration, or similar roles.
- Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and container registries.
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar. Experience with major CI/CD platforms.
- Infrastructure: Experience managing Linux-based VPS environments. Linux system administration.
- Containerization: Docker and container registries.
- Scripting: Basic scripting abilities using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of Git and best practices and version control
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Passion for working in a team environment, including collaborating with scientific and medical advisors.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage containerization of web applications using Docker, ensuring efficient and scalable deployments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for web deployments, automating build, test, and release workflows.
- Manage and optimize our VPS deployment environment for performance and security.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to enhance system reliability and troubleshooting.
- Establish and document best practices for deployment processes and infrastructure management.
Supporting Mobile Initiatives
- Collaborate with mobile developers to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android applications.
- Assist in automating mobile app builds and releases.
- Support the team with App Store and Google Play Store release processes
Nice to Have
- Mobile App Deployment: Basic familiarity with iOS and Android deployment processes.
- Mobile CI/CD: Experience with mobile CI/CD tools (e.g., Fastlane).
- Kubernetes: Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
