As a Commis Chef at Zuma, you're passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences, and you'll play a key role in crafting dishes that leave a lasting impression. Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. This role will be based in Zuma Mykonos, a first-of-its-kind lifestyle destination. Featuring a sleek infinity-pool, lounge, restaurant and resident DJs, our vibrant seasonal location is a dynamic lifestyle concept that captures the essence of contemporary dining and entertainment making it the dining destination in Mykonos.

Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure mise en place levels are maintained to guarantee smooth service, with a focus on quality, consistency, and impeccable presentation
  • Embrace opportunities to learn and grow, gaining experience across various kitchen sections under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper storage practices and minimizing waste
  • Prepare food products according to recipes, ensuring precision, care, and adherence to the highest preparation standards
  • Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas and maintain clean, organized workstations in line with Zuma's high standards
  • Follow Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times
