Typesetter
to join our team.

In this role, you will be co-working with editors and graphics designers in order to style texts and illustrations making sure typefaces, point size, line length, leading, and other elements of typographic design have been used according to the specifications of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Typesetting, formatting and correcting text in adobe InDesign according to each book title
• Work with the editorial and graphics teams to ensure that the final product meets their expectations
• Typesetting in word documents
• Converting already existing books from Quark to InDesign.
• Ability to lead a team as well as coordinate with other departments
• Assist in admin support

Skills & Qualifications:

• A degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop will be considered an asset
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Adobe Reader
• Fluent in the English language
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot spelling, grammar and punctuation errors
• Proven work experience as a typesetter
• Fast typing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
