NTT Data Greece
team is looking for a
Middleware Specialist
in Athens to work with our clients in the
European public sector
.

You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of middleware technologies that support enterprise applications and services. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Your role:

• Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache Tomcat, IBM MQ, etc.).
• Monitor middleware performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments.
• Implement and maintain security standards and access controls.
• Automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting and tools.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guide.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in middleware administration or support.
• Hands-on experience with one or more middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus.
• You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management tools.
• Middleware certification(s) (e.g., Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss).

*This role may require flexibility, including shift-based work and on-call responsibilities, depending on operational needs.
