Deskside Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective Tier 1 and Tier 2 deskside technical support to all end-users (in-person and remote).
- Deliver dedicated VIP Executive Support, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, software, and peripheral devices, with a focus on the Microsoft Technology Stack (Windows OS, Office 365, etc.).
- Perform diagnostics and repairs for laptop hardware (e.g. Lenovo) and Audio Visual (AV) equipment (e.g., meeting room systems, projectors).
- Support and troubleshoot Cisco and HP Networking issues (basic connectivity, port activation, and configuration checks).
- Actively participate in IT projects, from planning through to execution.
- Manage the asset lifecycle of IT equipment, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal.
- Assist with IT audit preparation and execution, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of support tickets, assets, and procedures with great attention to detail.
- Proactively monitor and maintain the IT environment to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
- BSc of equivalent in IT degree
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working in a Deskside, Helpdesk, or IT Support role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the Microsoft Technology Stack (Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365/Office 365 applications, Exchange/Outlook).
- Experience with basic troubleshooting of Cisco Networking and HP Networking infrastructure.
- Proven technical expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of laptop hardware and Audio Visual (AV) equipment.
- Prior experience in providing VIP Executive Support is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to work proactively on their own and manage time effectively, as well as being a collaborative member of a team.
- Familiarity with concepts and execution in Project Management, Asset Management, and IT Audit processes.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high attention to detail in all tasks and documentation.
